Opaline d’Ouilly presented us with her latest marvel on the 12th of
July 2016 : Conquerant Morinda Z, by Ceasar. Conquerant (named
after the lovely poem ‘Les Conquerants’ by Jose-Maria de Heredia)
is therefore the full brother of Carpe Diem Morinda Z and almost a
full brother to Vostock Morinda since the two fathers (Ringo and
Ceasar) are full brothers.
Conquerant promises to be very handsome. He is a big colt with
plenty of bone, he moves very well like all those from the
bloodline of Ringo/Ceasar, and on top of that he also has a very
In growing up Conquerant has retained all his promise. At three
months old he was splendid! Big, with good bone, a superb head and
the paces of a dressage horse. He is truly a colt which promises a
lot and who now also has a much darker coat than when he was
At ten months of age Conquerant has become downright spectacular
(and still very sweet natured. He is well educated as are all our
foals). The least one could say is that he will make his mark on
the competition field one day!
Cassandre du Fief
Her father Ceasar, also carrying the blood of Furioso, is inbred on
Samber and thus on Pericles. In effect, his paternal grandmother,
Wanda, is the full sister of Samber. And on his maternal side his
grandmother Cindy is a daughter of Samber.
Samber has been called a “World Wide Legend” by the American
Nathalie Kilpatrick. He reached Grand Prix level in dressage and as
well as that level Z (BSJA Grade A) over fences. To this day he is
still the oly coloured stallion ever to have been admitted to the
KWPN stud book.
Pericles XX (the sire of Samber) won many races and was just as
well known in show jumping circles. He was named “Keur” in 1976 and
“Preferent” in 1977. He is one of the two XX stallions (along with
Lucky Boy XX) having the best KWPN produce.
Opaline d’Ouilly, a daughter of the excellent Uzelien (Muguet du
Manoir) who died very young, and of Cassandra du Fief (who was by
Narcos II) comes from an illustrious CSI family, a family who has
produced numerous stallions. The uterine sister of her mother,
Geolinote du Fieft, competed with Patrice Delaveau and Nicolas
Delmotte winning more than 40,000 euros, ISO 162.
Opaline has also given us the very powerful Vostock Morinda, who
was sold to a young rider and is being aimed at Junior events, as
well as Une Lady Morinda (who is spectacular over poles) and the
full brother of Conquerant, Carpe Diem Morinda Z.
