Ulyss’s sons and daughters (mostly 2 and 3 year olds, a few 4 year olds) have been gently starting to take on a few fences.
We’ve known for years that Ulyss has passed on his sweet nature to all his offspring. The owners testify to this, underlining that their ‘baby Ulyss’ is a real ‘glue-pot’ – sticking close to people, always ready to do what’s asked of him, and very intelligent – just like papa. They are affectionate youngsters, even with young children. And for them, being broken in is just a formality.
The young Ulysses are generally big (there are a few exceptions, depending on the dam), spirited, and have wonderful paces and balance. They are well made like their father, with good bone and a short back. But what we are discovering as they grow is that many seem to have inherited Ulyss’s superb style. Look at the action of many of the youngsters...Hard to beat. And we are only in the very first generation!
