A new victory for Ulyss and Rik
Three weeks after their superb victory in England, the partnership made their mark in Belgium
On the 4th of July at the Knokke Hippique, Rik Hemeryck entered his faithful Ulyss in the 1m45 Ranking competition, the qualifier for the Grand Prix.
After a calm first phase which Ulyss walked, the partnership put their foot down and turned sharply during the second phase, finishing in 23.56 seconds. They finished first out of the 69 starters, no one being able to catch them. The rider in second finished in 24 seconds.

Two days later, on Sunday 6th of July, Ulyss took part in the 1m55 Grand Prix, which took place at night. He produced a superb clear round and a good attempt in the jump off but had 4 faults. Nevertheless he was placed 8th.
At the end of three months of competing, what a wonderful season it’s already been for our stallion. And it’s not finished yet. But right now Ulyss is off for a well earned rest for two weeks.
