Arlington Morinda Z

Male Chestnut 2 years old

General comments

Arlington Morinda Z is a son of Aganix du Seigneur and Calgary H Morinda Z (herself a daughter of our lovely Vision Morinda). He was born on the 24th of April and received, like his mother, the name of a town in homage to his famous ancestor, the Olympic Champion LONDON (born Carembar de Muze) who is his maternal great grand-sire.

Arlington, being descended from London and on the other side issuing from Aganix du Seigneur, couldn’t be any other colour than chestnut. His coat was not a surprise. He’s an extremely chic and elegant colt, who has inherited the magnificent action of Vision and Calgary, as well as their docility. A colt who stands out immediately, and who shines amongst the herd.

This has been so successful that we are thinking of returning Calgary to stud and perhaps even repeating the crossing. Aganix du Seigneur passes on enormous spirit and energy. Calgary, as well as having a huge jump, possesses a stable character of gold.

We will see what baby Arlington becomes. We wish him a long and successful career.

Père : Aganix Du Seigneur Z

His sire, Aganix du Seigneur, is one of the great revelations of the last few years. He was quite unknown at his debut as a stallion, but literally exploded into the limelight when the quality of his offspring over fences was revealed.  Several of Aganix’s offspring are now competing in 1m60 classes.

As Zangersheide wrote in their report. “His products are emerging from all over and invariably show the same characteristics. They attract attention and dazzle everyone with their qualities and their exceptional scope over fences.”

As for his rider, Jos Lansink, he recognised Aganix du Seigneur had Olympic potential. “In my career, I’ve ridden many good horses, but Aganix is very high on the list. He had enormous scope and was very respectful, being truly allergic to touching a pole.”

Première mère : Calgary H Morinda Z (alias Houston Tx Morinda) Z

CALGARY H MORINDA Z (alias Houston TX Morinda), 6 years old in 2023, is a daughter of the much missed Cambiaso Massuere, who died aged only 4 when he seemed ready for an extraordinary future.

Cambiaso Massuere was the only son of the superstar stallion LONDON (Carembar de Muze) to be approved in a major European stud book (Zangersheide, in March 2015).

London was World Champion, and, ridden by Gerco Shröder, was in the team that finished as runners up. Not forgetting his individual silver medal in the 2012 London Olympic Games. His Grand Prix and Nations’ Cup victories are uncountable, for example in the Aachen Nations’ Cup in 2013.

London is the son of the founding father, Nabab de Rêve, and the extraordinary Ta Belle de Sombeke, the World Cup mare ridden by Jos Lansink.

The mother of Cambiaso Massuere, Qosa Nostra, is a daughter of Arc de Triomphe and Estrella Del Dia, by GALOUBET. Estrella De Dia produced the stallion, NERVOSO.

Deuxième mère : Re Vision Morinda Z Z

Re Vision Morinda Z (alias Vision Morinda) is our favourite broodmare. She’s a daughter of Ringo and of Scarlett Fontanel by Diamant de Sémilly, her bloodline going back directly to Flambeau C and Caméra. Her maternal origins are amongst the best a Selle Français could possibly have.

Her sire, Ringo, also has an interesting lineage. He is inbred on Pericles XX (found three times in his papers). Pericles is one of the two XX stallions (with Lucky Boy XX) having the best KWPN products. He was named ‘Keur’ in 1976 and ‘Preferent’ in 1977.

The ‘go to’ for Pericles is his daughter PIA who is the dam of ULFT (Le Mexico x Pericles XX), and UFLT is amongst others, the sire of FERRO!!!! OLYMPIC FERRO, the legendary dressage star (named ‘preferent’ in his lifetime).

ULFT’s production is phenomenal, and you can find him in a number of pedigrees of horses competing at the very top level in CSO and dressage. He can be found, for example, in the papers of the famous HICKSTEAD, best showjumper in the world of his era.

Having sadly lost an eye, Vision has never competed. It’s a shame as the rare times she’s done liberty jumping she’s been very impressive. Her first foal, Cantor Morinda Z, was sold for €65,000 as a three-year-old at the 2017 Fences sales and was exported to the USA. He had the same style and extraordinary action as his dam.
